Earlier this year, the Senate passed a resolution to form the Senate Camden County Spaceport Study Committee. The Georgia Senate recently appointed members to the committee, including two Commissioners from Camden County. Members of the Senate Camden County Spaceport Study Committee also includes four senators and two subject matter experts from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as the Business Development Director of satellite communications company ViaSat.

“We are grateful that the Senate recognizes the importance of the Spaceport Camden project for the state of Georgia,” said County Administrator, Steve Howard. “We look forward to meeting with the committee and working toward making Spaceport Camden a reality for the county, the region and the state.”
